You might have a few questions about by MAJOZI. or the products we have, so here are the answers to some of the most common questions that we have received:
Why is the brand called by MAJOZI.?
There are two co-founders behind the brand, they are the husband and wife duo Nhlanhla Majozi (most commonly known as Majozi) and Daniela Majozi.
Is this Majozi the musician’s merch?
Yes and no. We’ve created items over the years like the Majerzey and a different loved collection, but our process has always gone beyond merch. Initially the products were only available to purchase at Majozi’s shows, hence the idea of it being “merch” but that also comes with a dated stigma of fast fashion, cheaply made and low quality. That is why we say “no this isn’t merch”, as everything is made with so much care in Cape Town, using high quality fabrics and construction methods to ensure that you can enjoy your item for years to come. That’s where by MAJOZI. comes in, as we are transitioning away from being seen simply as “merch” and hopefully towards being a loved South African brand that can stand on it’s own.
Where are your products made?
All our items are designed, made with love and packaged in Cape Town, South Africa.
Do you have a physical store?
Currently we are just an online store. In 2025 we hope to be stocked in some specialty stores around South Africa.
How long will my order take to arrive?
For in stock items please see the below timelines –
Cape Town CBD Collection: 2 – 4 business days
Pargo Delivery: 3 – 5 business days from date of collection

Do you ship internationally (outside SA)?
Not yet. We currently just deliver within South Africa, but will be setting up some overseas shipping methods in 2025, so stay tuned!
Will you be restocking a sold out item? Can I backorder?
Yes, but not immediately. We have smaller production runs to be able to manage our costs and the sustainability of by MAJOZI. which means items may end up being out of stock. The best way to ensure getting an out of stock item is to backorder it, which means it will be made just for you and will be ready for shipping in 10 – 15 days.
What size should I order?
Ordering online can be tricky, but we hope our Size Guides can help you. The product photos may also help as a reference to see how the items fit. Majozi wears XL and Daniela wears M.
Why is the price what it is?
As everything is made locally in Cape Town, this means that everyone in the whole production chain is treated with respect and compensated fairly. Treating people with dignity in the manufacturing industry does mean the items cost more to make. Using quality materials like our 100% Single Jersey Cotton with a weight of 160gsm, alongside slower methods like manual screen printing, embroidery and added details like our heart label, Majerzey label and internal label all add to the cost of a garment. Our whole production chain involves over 15 people along the journey of an item being created, that’s over 30 hands collectively working to create something meaningful. It’s the only way we would ever create products, as the people are what really matter. Our hope is that you also value how and where your items are made and choose to support businesses (even if it’s not by MAJOZI.) that are conscious of the value they can add by producing locally.
